Modular Platforms

Modular Stair Systems for Safe Access Across Any Facility

Hemco Industries now offers modular stair systems from SafetyRailCo, giving production teams a fast, OSHA-compliant way to move over and around the obstacles that fill a working floor. Whether your crews need to cross a conveyor, reach a rooftop unit, or step up to an elevated work area, SRC systems adapt to your existing layout rather than forcing you to rebuild around them.

How the Modular Stair System Works

The SRC modular crossover stairs system is made from standardized parts that assemble quickly and can be reconfigured as your needs change. Stair modules, platforms, ladders, and adjustable leg supports connect using bolted hardware, so there are no hot-work permits and no on-site cutting.

Installation stays clean, and the same components can be taken apart and rearranged if your floor plan shifts later.

Standard sizes ship from stock, with extended lengths and multi-level options available for more involved access challenges. The heavy-gauge steel construction is rated for a maximum span of 12 feet between leg supports and stands up to demanding production environments.

Configurable to Your Site

The system handles clear heights from 8 to 72 inches freestanding or up to 96 inches in anchored configurations, with unlimited overall length when sections are combined. Stairs come in fixed 45-degree angles or adjustable 35-to-50-degree angles, and modular platforms run from 1 to 12 feet long at 36 inches wide.

Order it freestanding with roof pad kits or anchored to concrete with hardware included. Railings arrive powder-coated safety yellow or galvanized, with custom colors available on request.

Built and Tested to OSHA Standards

Every modular stair system is engineered from heavy-gauge steel and built to meet or exceed OSHA stair standards (1910.25, 1910.29, 1926.1052) along with Cal-OSHA requirements.

A nationally accredited engineering lab independently tests each system, with documentation available, and they are 100% made in the USA.

For sites with unusual transitions or load conditions, Hemco’s engineered services pair these modular platforms with our broader catalog of custom loading racks and fall prevention solutions, so you get one source for the full access plan.

When a standard configuration won’t work, our team designs one that does.

Frequently Asked Questions About SRC Modular Stair Systems

Industries

What industries use modular stair systems?

They suit manufacturing facilities, distribution warehouses, construction sites, rooftop equipment access, and conveyor crossovers. Any production environment with elevation changes or obstacles is a candidate.

How long does it take to install a modular crossover stairs system?

Assembly is fast and intuitive. Because the components bolt together with no on-site welding or cutting, most standard configurations go up quickly with basic tools.

Do I need to anchor modular stair systems?

Not always. Anchored versions bolt to concrete with included hardware, and freestanding versions use roof pad kits for heights up to 72 inches. Customers are responsible for verifying roof load capacity and suitability for freestanding systems.
