Hand Pump Vertical Leveling, Manual - XHM (PL)
Application: This model is selected when more simplicity of operation is desired, using power for those operations where automation is desired. Extendible walkway rolls in and out very easily - manually with the extension arm.
Operation Data:
- Our high displacement hand pump (piston type) with fluid reservoir is source of power for operation
- Small cylinders are employed for speed of operation, yet cylinders are large enough for easy operation
- Lift cylinder moves 1.5 inches per stroke of the pump
- Extension is an easy manual operation
- Flow of fluid from pump to cylinders and back to reservoir is controlled by valve at back of pump. When valve at back of pump is closed, fluid flows to cylinder. When open, fluid flows back to reservoir.
How it operates
Folding Down: Pull back on top of gangway and release automatic latching device. Open lift cylinder valve and open the reservoir return valve and gangway will fold down with stops holding it at the horizontal. Extension lock must be disengaged.
Leveling up and down: After the gangway folds down to the horizontal, it will continue to level down. When desired level height is reached, close lift cylinder valve and gangway will be held at this height (also close reservoir turn valve). If adjusting upward is needed, open lift cylinder valve and operate hand hydraulic pump, closing valve when adjusted.
Extending: Extension operates easily on Delrin (non corrosive) rollers by pushing or pulling on the extension arm that is attached to and locks to the rear handrail posts. Engaging the extension lock holds the extension arm to rear handrail post and extendible platform cannot move.
Folding Back: With extension retracted and column lock mechanism unlocked, open valve to vertical lift cylinder. Extension lock must be disengaged. Operate pump to level gangway up until the fold back mechanism engages at which time the gangway will begin to fold back. Continue pumping until the gangway folds back completely and the safety securing latch engages.
