About Us

Hemco's production came from humble beginnings. In 1958, Hemco began armed with only an idea and a design for a product that would get people to the tops of vehicles safer and easier. Hemco first used different fabricators with facilities to make the prototype, and eventually the finished product.

Very early on, with the volume of sales growing, operating in this manner became difficult, and so Hemco began its own facilities by erecting a small 40 ft. by 60 steel building. From there, Hemco has grown to 20,000 square feet of manufacturing space, accommodating both its standard products, plus an area dedicated to making products for special loading situations. Today, Hemco is still dedicated to making products for safer access and fall protection. Hemco has no sidelines.
